As part of its research and educational activities, Instytut Studiów Podatkowych [ISP] publishes and disseminates books dealing with aspects of financial law and tax law. The ISP Publishing House [Wydawnictwo Instytutu Studiów Podatkowych/Wydawnictwo ISP] was set up in 1996, one of its statutory activities being to popularise knowledge in the field of legal sciences. Some 300 books have been issued in the ‘Prawo podatkowe’ [‘Tax Law’] series, incl. scholarly monographs, commentaries, and textbooks. Published are books, periodicals, and the best scholarly monographs, accepted as such by the Publishing House’s Council and reliably reviewed. The decision to accept or reject a given scholarly text is primarily based on its originality, scientific quality, and whether the text fits the subject-matter of the monograph or anthology in which it would be included. The author’s background, nationality, ethnicity, political views, sex, race or religion are of no relevance whatsoever. The Publishing House applies ethical standards in line with the Code for Conduct of Journal Editors (COPE); for details of the principles of ethics applied, see here [Standardy etyki ISP]. The rules of functioning are been based on the best international publishing practices. The Publishing House applies an open model of scientific review. As the Publisher, ISP is obligated to comply with the current legal status regarding the infringement of copyright and plagiarism. All the studies meant to be published are checked by a counter-plagiarism system. The types of studies published include scientific monographs by one or many authors as well as popular scientific books. The topics addressed by our publications include issues in legal sciences, particularly financial law and tax law. Implementation of tasks in this thematic specialisation ensures the filling of a niche and satisfies the needs of science and tax law practitioners. The Publisher’s emphasis is that the publications address topical and important issues making essential contributions to the development of science. The studies are published in the Polish language (each containing a title, keywords, and an English summary) and, if the topic addressed is an incentive to internationalise the study, also in English. In order to internationally disseminate the scholarly monographs published by ISP, the Publisher shares them in an electronic form at the website and via industry portals.
